The needs are identical for the outer fabric and the lining. Requirements shown are for one fabric only. For example, for a vest without a hood in 1 month, you will need 30 cm of outer fabric and 30 cm of lining.
If the material is very thick, prefer to cut the size larger to maintain some comfort.
