Description: Measuring ruler or extendable buttonhole gauge
The buttonhole measuring ruler gives you a quick measurement to place your buttons and buttonholes on all your clothes. Quick and easy to use, it allows you to place 8 to 9 buttons spaced from 1 cm (ruler closed) to 8.7 cm (ruler unfolded).
Use: place the buttonhole measuring ruler on your garment. Extend it to the desired length to define your ideal location.
An extendable sewing gauge to mark all your locations.
Marking the location of your buttons, buttonholes, hooks, eyelets and even snap buttons will no longer hold any secrets for you. Using the dots and slots on the gauge, mark the positions of the buttons and buttonholes with chalk or a washable marker. Metric marks allow you to mark the ideal lengths.
Mark your pleats and gathers with the buttonhole measuring ruler
When creating gathers, smocking, skirts and dress pleats, stretch the stretch ruler to the desired distance between gathers when gathering or smocking, stretching the buttonhole ruler so that each point is exactly at a certain distance from each other. With sewing chalk or a washable textile marker, use the slots on the buttonhole measuring ruler to mark the seam line.
This measuring ruler can also be useful to you in your quilting work thanks to its geometric aspect. You can use adhesive tape to block the spacing of the ruler and thus define all your sewing lines.
For perfect buttonholes, you can also opt for anti-fraying glue.
